Instagram announced yesterday that from now on in the main News channel we will see previews of materials shared on IGTV by the people we follow. After clicking on a fragment of the material we will be transferred to IGTV, where we will watch it in full.
One-minute previews
It looks like Instagram has adopted a strategy in which it decided to encourage users to visit their next application even more. Therefore, one-minute views of IGTV content will appear on the main channel. They will be played without sound. After clicking on the material, however, we will hear a voice or go to IGTV to see its full version.
IGTV characteristics
We would like to remind you that the IGTV application was introduced in June last year as a promising solution for longer video content. It allows you to play slightly longer content, from 15 seconds to 10 minutes. Vertical films are displayed in full screen, which of course has its pros and cons.
Undoubtedly, this form makes it easier for recipients and adaptation to the mobile format. However, this means that in most cases, materials require special preparation or choose buysocialfollowers. Sharing the same content that we publish, e.g. on YouTube, will be visible and is not always a good strategy due to a lack of format.
So there is a probability that this solution is not very popular, which is why Instagram representatives are looking for a new way to reach potential viewers. In November, users gained the opportunity to share content from IGTV in Stories. It remains for us to observe whether we will not feel "immersed" in previews from IGTV.
